Bolzano Comics

International Comic Festival

Bolzano Comics is a festival dedicated to comics, its readers and it's creators. It's a new event, based in the city of Bolzano, and will consist in an international comic contest targeted towards short wordless stories (NoWords Comics), exhibitions, presentations and lectures. Bolzano Comics is organized by Cineclub Bolzano, as part of the Bolzano ShortFilmFestival, and by the Bolzano Comics Group.

Bolzano ShortFilmFestival is an international festival dedicated to short films. It's made of four competitions: Opere Nuove, for Italian shorts, NoWords for shorts without words, ShortFilmExperiment for experimental productions and Die kurze Welle, for German shorts. During the fourty years of its existence the Bolzano ShortFilmFestival has seen an incredible growth, in the last years submissions to the contests were over 1800, from all over the world.
